Federer has finally won a title in 2008. It may not have been the way he wanted to win, but a win is a win. Federer won a tight first set tie-break against Davydenko, and was down a break in the 2nd set when Davydenko retired. Still, this is by no means an indication of Federer’s good form on Clay, and I’d be surprised if he navigated his way through the minefield of a draw that he has gotten at Monte Carlo.
