Nadal Wins, Federer Loses At Toronto

by admin on July 23, 2008

Nadal continued his impressive form this year by beating Jesse Levine in straight sets to reach the third round of Toronto Masters. Federer? He lost in three set to Giles Simon by dropping 3 straight service games in the final set, losing it 6-4 in the third after being up a break a couple of times in the third. The defeat all but secured No. 1 ranking for Nadal.

Go Nadal! I still can’t believe Federer lost this one after being 4 love in the first set! I wonder what his excuse is going to be this time around

I don’t think there should be any major excuses this time except that he hasn’t played for a while. These guys all have egos and they are not going to admit that they choked. Roger choked. He was up a break twice in the third but lost two games to 15 and one to love on his own serve. What does that tell you? He won like 2 points on his last three games. Shocking. But that’s what Roger’s been this year. His year is now really Andy Roddickish with no slams and a couple of major finals.
